Our Public Access Test (PAT) service is designed to assess whether your assistance dog or cat can behave calmly and safely in public settings. The test ensures both handler and dog or cat are ready for real-world environments like cafes, shopping centres, and public transport. We support owner-trainers, NDIS participants, therapy assistants, and support workers seeking to formalise their dog’s/cat's role. Our PAT is ethical, fear-free, and grounded in practical skills. The process includes: -A pre-test phone/video call consultation to understand your journey -A real-world assessment (may need multiple sessions) -Testing calm walking, ignoring distractions, public toileting, handler control, and recovery after stress -Certificate upon passing If your dog/cat isn’t quite ready, we provide guidance and next steps with compassion and no shame.
